Dorsal Hand Vein Authentication Using FireFly Algorithm And Knuckle tip Extraction

Abstract


This paper presents a simulation to authenticate individuals using dorsal hand vein images. The dorsal view of hand image is acquired using near contact-less Infra-red imaging. The acquired images are analyzed and are pre-processed, after which the feature extraction and identification are done using the Firefly clustering algorithm. Knuckle tip intersections are being analyzed along in the images to enhance the identification process much efficiently.
